Core design problem
Traditional table ordering methods can lead to inefficiencies and frustrations for both customers and restaurant staff. These traditional processes often involved manually placing orders through servers or staff, which could lead to errors, miscommunication, and delays. Additionally, customers may have difficulty reading menus in dimly lit environments or may find the ordering process to be time-consuming and inconvenient. As a result, there was a need for a more efficient, streamlined, and user-friendly approach to table ordering in restaurants that would improve the overall dining experience for customers and restaurant staff alike.
Target goals
Allow users to place their orders directly through the app, with clear and concise order options and customization features.
Provide a user-friendly interface for scanning QR codes placed on tables, enabling users to view digital menus instantly on their mobile devices.
Overall, the app aims to enhance the dining experience for customers by providing a more efficient, user-friendly, and accessible table ordering process in restaurants.

The final concept for the Restaurant Table Ordering App is a user-friendly, digital solution that streamlines the table ordering process in restaurants. Here is an overview of the process:
Search for nearby restaurants: Users can search for nearby restaurants through the app using their location.
Select table ordering option: Once users have found a restaurant, they can select the table ordering option to scan the QR code on the restaurant table.
Scan the QR code on the restaurant table: Users can scan the QR code on the restaurant table using the app to access the selected restaurant home page with menu categories and the latest offers.
Select dishes and add to cart: Users can browse through the various menu categories and select their preferred dishes. They can also customize their orders. Once they have selected their dishes, they can add them to the cart.
Pay online: Users can review their orders in the cart and proceed to checkout. They can then pay for their orders online through the app using credit/debit cards.
